They've already spent the money, City should hold firm and stick with £30m (although even that might be too much). Liverpool have played their hand abysmally.
Had a look on RAWK and the expectation is bubbling up again, they're trying to be guarded and pretending they don't think this is their year but you can tell they all think they're going to challenge.
25 points off the title last year, lost Gerrard, Sterling and Johnson (he's a bit crap but still played half the league matches last season) are massively top heavy and have done little to remedy their awful defence and all of a sudden they're going to be challenging cos they've signed Ings and a Brazilian with worse Bundesliga stats than Kagawa and Podolski. Just bonkers.
Also keep mentioning our 'ageing' squad.
Robles, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, Deulofeu, McCarthy, Cleverly, Mirrallas, Barkley, Lukaku... that's two over 30s who have younger replacements fully poised to take over. Then there's besic, oviedo, browning, ledson, long etc.
