Lol, the mindset of football fans on the Internet cracks me up.

Can you at least bring yourself to admit they aren't all murderers ?

RAWK is unique mate. I've never met a kopite in real life who's views are anything like the cringeworthy rubbish you read on that. I doubt there's very many locals on that site so they spend time trying to out-fan each other with hilarious consequences. Nothing like here at all.

Mate, not being local, and living where there isnt a big side for about 120 miles, most round here follow tons of other clubs. And honestly, be it a Reading, Bristol City, Newcastle, Cardiff, Hibs, they are laughed at. Yeah, we are closer, so obv take the rise more, but nevertheless, they are seen as these deluded, cultesq idiots by most other fans. Not just us. Believe me.

I live in London, whenever i've properly gunned them down (Yes i'm guilty of it as well) people just think I'm being a dIck unless they are United fan or whatever. If i was to tell them 'but dey r famous on internets for being the worst' id be mocked right there and then for such levels of bellendery.

And again, the vast majority of Liverpool fans around the world are blatantly perfectly decent normal people, just like every other clubs fanbases.

Also they have one of the largest fanbases in the world so its only natural you're going to see a higher percentage of dumb stuff posted compared to most other clubs.

Either you're extremely lucky, or you live on the moon.

In their defence (*prepares for flak) most of the ones met who are Scouse have been sound. It's the out of town fans that try up their game to make up for the wool accent. I'm from out of town but I quietly follow my club, don't be a tit on social media or walk around in full kit.

I would say that is most experiences mate. Local, match going ones that I know, well, only one, is sound. Online and those beauts who pre book hotel rooms and stuff, different breed.

I agree on the long distance reds being well worse than those who live in the city.

There's a transfer thread on another forum I post on that has been virtually taken over by 5 very opinionated reds talking about how great their team and signings are. A large amount of anger was directed my way when I pointed out that none of them loved within 100 miles of Anfield (2 of them lived on different continents) and that I could walk to Goodison in under 30 mins...

Seems that Carra has made a last gasp attempt to blacken Sterling's name before he goes.

From BBC:

'Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says Raheem Sterling's reputation is being affected after he asked to be left out of the club's pre-season tour. The forward, 20, does not want to go on the forthcoming trip to the Far East after Liverpool rejected a £40m bid from Manchester City for him. The England international missed training on Wednesday through illness.

"He's starting to get a reputation that could be hard to rid himself of in the future," said Carragher.

"Are Man City fans looking at the situation and thinking this could be us in a few years?"

Through his request, Sterling - who returned to pre-season training on Monday - has once again made it clear to manager Brendan Rodgers that he wants to leave. He has expressed his desire not to go on the tour in the hope of making a smoother exit from Anfield after an increasingly acrimonious saga in which he has turned down a contract offer of about £100,000 a week.

Manchester City have had two offers for him turned down, but are now expected to return with a third bid nearer Liverpool's £50m valuation.
Whether it comes soon enough to avoid the latest twist in what has become a very public breakdown in the relationship between club and player remains to be seen.

"I think this situation will only make Liverpool more determined to get the fee they feel Raheem is worth, rather than caving in to Raheem's and Man City's wishes," added Carragher.'

What a tit.
