If I was a in charge at City I would go public and state that I would not be increasing the offer on the table and give Liverpool a week to accept it or the deal was dead until the next window when the offer would be renegotiated at a lower price.
City have them by the balls really as no one else is in the market.

or just let it go quiet and resubmit the last rejected bid a week before the close of the window.

Gotze £43.5m release clause,can play on the left,scores goals won pretty much everything and even scored the winning goal at the World cup.

Then buy 3 or 4 cheap HG players from the likes of Villa,Hull,etc. The kind that are happy to pick up a nice wedge for just making up the numbers whilst going nowhere in their careers. English football is full of them.

I would rather City did that than give those merchant bankers any more money for a player that wants to leave but nobody else wants.

It really is unbelievable the crap the media are throwing at Sterling....

The same media who constantly link our good young players (and young players at other clubs outside the big 5) with moves to top clubs...but when its a young player who wants to leave Liverpool to win trophies and make more money, he's been absolutely hung out to try by every media station, paper & ex Red....
