As said before. No matter how crap they are and seemingly heading for a black hole, they always manage to come out of it smelling of roses. Every single season they manage to get a turd smelling of Lavender. Its not a sure thing of course but the appointment of Klopp is head and shoulders above anything Rodgers could offer.

My fear is that the Klopp name would actually attract decent players to the club. Decent players with genuine pedigree and not players who are 'in the moment'.

Money and to a lesser extent location attract the real top players and whilst I love my city they don't offer enough of either

They only live in order to get a pat on the head off the media about being special. They long since dispensed with wanting to win actual trophies. Their trophy is to have a commentator swoon over 'another special european night at Anfield'.

I do miss those nights, especially that sound (which I am sure the Germans must have a word for) when the opposition score the goal that puts the tie beyond them.
