Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to star in film about his life

Right on cue for the very day his "talismanic" presence was absent for their first time at Wembley without him for years. Their spawn of the devil, if not dispersed, is very much diluted. Its never about him though is it.

bet you that slip doesn't make much of an appearance. what a terrible film thats going to be.

Gerrard: "Yeah you know...I was devastated what happened that day cos anyone can slip and for the record, I didn't fail to control the ball before that like all the Evertonians say. I was that upset I couldn't even go out the wine bar with me mates for a good half hour when we got back to Formby. Alex couldn't even come home and stayed out downtown for two nights she was that upset....."

They are fumin..........

From just one poster on rawk-
For years Everton have banged on about the fans they have only coming from Local areas - which may ring true - but also commercially means you can't improve much

Your attendances have steadily declined over the past decade.

Your Season Tickets/Tickets are given away.

You still can't fill your stadium despite the above.

---

This Usmanov is in London, a major European City. A club which commercially could be taken through the roof. The possibility of what Arsenal could achieve is probably double that of Manchester United - that is potentially huge.

Why would he want to suddenly jump ship to Everton? I mean Catch22 give me 5 good reasons he would actually come and invest in you instead?

How does one improve a club that -

Is in one of the poorest area's of Britain
Has a tiny following
Has been only able to attract sponsors such as Chang and those other dodgy people you had recently.

And to improve Everton he probably has to spend upwards of £500 million.

How does he get any of his investment back? When commercially your club just isn't a good asset to have.

This guy that's taken 49% will make some money with the new TV deal, he might even pump in a little money and get you a little better of. But you aren't suddenly going to be City, Chelsea, etc - As it makes no financial sense what so ever.

It doesn't even make business sense, as you aren't a big name, that is going to suddenly improve these guys portfolio.

Just be glad your not going under anymore. Be glad you have someone a bit more stable than Kenright, but don't get ahead of yourselves. There's still only one big club in Merseyside.

Could Toure still have been given a yellow even though the game had ended once he put his pen away?

Yes, for sure.

Many players have been sent off after the whistle, for fighting in the tunnel or bad mouthing the ref as they left the pitch after the game.

In fact, if I am not mistaken the ref has the power to send a fellow off before the game even starts.

In short, the ref's power extends beyond the ninety minutes, or extra time if played.

As for Coutinho , why do that "stop" before hitting the ball ? It gives the goalie a clue as to where you're putting it . And can all rs pens be taken the same way from now on :D

If the goalie stays put, as Willy did, the kicker is in real trouble because he can't get enough power into the shot.....as Coutinho found to his cost

That nonsense only works if the goalie commits himself, then you have a tap in to the other side of the goal.
