ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

My favourites for the league mate, if they get close like they did under BR then I think Klopp will give them the self confidence to finish the job.
I said at the beginning Guardiola is a fraud who will find it tough getting his own way, this league has spurs, arsenal, united, Chelsea and Liverpool to compete with, before we even look at the tough games of Everton, Stoke and such.
Mourinho has spent £89m on Pogba when he would of been better trying to get Romelu and Coleman for example.
Wenger's Arsenal will flop around game 30-32. So near yet so far.
Chelsea will need to get used to adapting to Conte's preferred 3-5-2 formation.
Spurs for me are good but maybe a back up striker short - see Romelu to Kone as example.

All in all I fancy Liverpool to do it, they are getting closer to having the squad needed, to be fair to arl yellow knashers he has shipped out some tripe and brought a closer group together with a little bit of quality. They only need a solid left back, top goalkeeper and a top centre mid.

I think they need a top goalscorer, the front 4 will get about 50 goals between them, can't see another 20 or 30 coming from the rest of their team. That will be there downfall IMO; however I still think they'll be in the running

And a goalscorer. Apart from that they've got a great chance.
I hate to admit it but their prospects already frighten me. Their squad may not be amazing yet Klopp somehow maximises their impact.

If he is able to unearth some of the calibre of starlets as he did at Dortmund, then they'll be a force to be reckoned with that's for sure.

This season may be too early for them as I have questions whether they can continue this pressing style all season, but that's purely speculation.

What concerns me this season is them not winning the league (which won't happen) but them finishing in the top 4. all they need is that one CL spot finish and the board can back klopp a little more than they have done so far. So instead of jarg second rate centre halves from germany he can sign first choice ones for example.

Admittedly it is like a super magnet for them, The pull of klopp, the club and CL would convince a lot of players to join, the same that wouldn't go anywhere near Rodgers. That is the main worry for me, least before you knew they were finishing midtable pretty much despite any signs of them thinking it was their year

Klopp is clearly a very good manager, when you look at some of the players they have you would not think the squad was good enough to challenge for title but so far this season they look like the best team in the league bar city and even then you could argue they've been better than them.

Meanwhile were stuck being Everton regardless of the manager

Haven't they scored the most goals in the league since Klopp has come into the league,Oct 2015 to Oct 2016,plus they are the top scorers this season.

The goals seem to be spread out around the team, and i read on goal.com that Inaki Williams 50 million euros release clause is going to be activated in January,i can see them selling Sturridge to finance that deal as Klopp doesn't really seem to rate him.

If anything their title credentials are not dependent on scoring but the defensive side of the game which could be their Achilles heel.

Over a season is different, expecting lallana mane coutinho and firminho to bag 60 goals between them is a massive ask. Henderson is not a goalscorer, milner is on pens. If he had suarez I'd put money on them now.

You can tell they're all excitable the way this thread's starting to fill up. So many posts from newbies starting with 'Haven't THEY....done this that or the other'. Learn your lesson and don't suffer from premature celebration again lads, remember last time when you'd arranged for the open top bus parade and had the T-shirts printed then blew it embarrassingly in front of a hysterical nation?

The only reason they'll win it is because they're not in Europe. City are a much better team who have played some top Euro games already and suffered for it. This is the best chance they'll ever have. I can see Klopp getting them in the CL but their squad is too poor to then be able to play 2 games a week in proper competitions. When was the last time they were in the CL and challenging consistently for the league? Teams like United and Arsenal have done that for years, even under Benitez they weren't capable of challenging on more than one front. That's the years of spending money on absolute dross.

Very much doubt they will win it. 3 reasons
1)can't think of a league winning team that didn't grind out a number of 1 Nil wins when required currently they don't have a clean sheet in them

2) largely the league winning team has the best if not one of the top 3 keepers in the league that season they have two of the very worst keepers in the league

3) once plan A fails klopp is lost this is not new always been the case throughout his career.

dont get me wrong it's achievable to overcome these issues but I can't see it.

would klopp have the ruthlessness to bin karius & buy a new first choice keeper in January? will karius come good personally I doubt either.

Also Milner left back at some point is going to hurt them defensively he isn't a left back at all.

We see but I think the wait will continue just hope they get some injuries & fourth also becomes a pipe dream
