editing quotes

When you use someones quote to reply, how do you highlight part of the quote in bold? Also, some posters have a quote underneath their avatar, how does this happen? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

1. quote it then highlight it in the text box and click the bold icon in the editor (B) button

2. Upgrade to a paying member of the site to get that perk.
