Of the Etats-Unis is about 3 miles away from me right now. He is in town speaking at the Coast Guard Academy graduation. Surprisingly, there is only a couple of hundred protesters waiting for him.

How does this affect me? Well they shut the bleedin' freeway down for his motorcade and I am supposed to be taking my mother to the train station for the beginning of her journey back to the UK. I hope it is clear by then :angry:

Rob, exactly what is unbelievable about this? He is speaking to the graduating class of a military academy. This is the same class he spoke to at the commencement of their studies.

Pretty bloody applicable if you ask me.

the biggest military in the world must have hundreds if not thousands of classes, does he speak to them all?

I'm fairly sure no other prime minister or president does things like this when they have important stuff like running the country to do.
Maybe he can read books to kids next.....

Thats it. The problem here Rob, is that you often speak without thinking. And if you think no other leader in the world doesn't do 'social' visits, you are deluding yourself.

Dylan, serious question, didn't he serve in the coast guard to avoid service in Nam?

Nope, he was in the Army National Guard, was active duty but was never sent over.

I love that michael moore film which shows he spent loads of time on holiday and playing golf, I guess being president isn't as hard as it looks, nice pay big office and if you're lucky a secretary and a cigar!

As a side note, amazing that the coast guard academy only has one class, thought it would be well stocked in cities up and down both coasts.

Oh my goodness!!! Well, if Michael Moore says so, that MUST be how it is! I hope he tells all of his little lemming to go and jump off a cliff in his next movie.

Oh, and the one class thing, again you are running your mouth before thinking about it. In AMERICA, the term graduating class refers to everybody who graduates that year. Every university only has one graduating class.
