Am new so here is the way I think......
The squads looking great....permitting Arteta and Pienaar don't leave. They are what will make the team tick. Without their creativity its almost certain we will be watching long ball football next season. In truth that won't happen because neither will be leaving....right?....
Well I'll start at the back.........
Mucha looks to be a good back-up option to Tim.
The defence (although decent) isn't going to be as strong as previous seasons in my opinion. I still think there is mistakes to be made by a couple of the centre halfs. Distin and Yobo mainly speaking. Although Heitinga had a good World Cup, I still don't think his hearts fully in it the Everton way yet. He sometimes looks like hes out for a stroll in the park. A solid partnership will Jags could prove all the diffrence between a top 10 finish and a top 4 finish. Still not sure about the right back position either. Is Coleman ready?.... I don't know not yet in my opinion. I'd loan him out to Blackpool again for 1 season. Let him get a full seasons experience at the top level then bring him back in next year. Neville should make the right back position his own this year. No questions about the left back position.
The midfield - I don't think we've had better options since I've been alive. Maybe a right sided player like Donovan would be the cherry on the cake. But even if it doesn't happen I think we will be o.k. Fellaini sitting with mikel and timmy just infront would be how I would have it. Fellaini breaking it up and mikel running the show and Tim pushing on. Pienaar on either wing with the option of Bilyaletdinov, Anichebe and Osman as the other options. Plus we have the addition of Rodwell who no doubt will see alot more action this season and rightly so. Haven't see enough of the new boy Gueye to know his proposed position.
Upfront - Well ideally I'd stick to what we know best and Moyes favourite formation 4-5-1. But with the arrival of Beckford and also the presence of Saha and Yakubu its going to be tough. The good thing is we have options to turn games on their head. My own personal opinion is that Beckford will take loan striking position and if it works I think we're in for a good season - permitting injuries.
