I believe it was approximately £15 million English pounds. Good job that nice Mr Cameron is going around saving money and not encouraging spending on lost causes.
 

The whole thing stinks -FIFA stinks- hope these corrupt bunch lot get hauled out - Russia is bad enough, but Qatar WTF.......

From a neutral's view, I didn't like how the english media presented the wc bid story. It sounded as if they were sure that they will win it. I saw fans in manchester on sky celebrating before the bid was even announced.

I don't know if Fifa is corrupt or not but their plan to promote football to other areas is a good mission and they consistent with it. Qatar was a shock to me but it makes sense...middle east is a part where the game is growing more and more.

I had a deal with my friends that we'll go to Australia if the wc was there in 2022. Qatar and 50C bugs us off now.

It's the same with every single World Cup mate, when England are playing. You'd think that they actually stood a chance of winning it.

How does it make sense to hold it in a country where it is a punishable offense to drink alcohol and bumming is banned?

And that is exactly what england's image is and that is why the other European countries don't like the english style. People think that england is not soft in the eyes of Fifa but the truth is...they make themselves like that. I have to say, "well done" Putin cos that's the way to go about things. It's no Jose Mourinho's mind game type but common sense. Blatter wasn't gonna buy the fact that the PM,prince William and Becks flew to Zurich and stressed on was he?

It's banned now but I am sure that come the wc, they will allow it for tourists to drink in their hotels. It's a Muslim country so they won't allow public drinking but if you wana drink in private...I am sure that will be allowed for the tourists. It'll bum the fans out if they aren't allowed to drink and Qatar know it.
 
Goodisson wasn't gona be used in the WC here...which is bullshit cos we have a 40k + capacity but just the facility and the congestion is the problem
