WOW! What is that stadium called?

Why are the best stadiums for college football?

Man, the best stadiums are pro stadiums, however the best football played is in college. The thing that drew me to the EPL and Everton, is the passion of the fans. It's the same in college football in the USA. People (esp. in the south) live and die by their college teams. From my six months of being an Everton supporter, it seems to be the same.

Did we really just turn this into a college football thread? Awesome.

My team (and alma mater) is Oklahoma State, even we now have a stadium that could host a World Cup event. The money and facilities thrown at college athletics is absolutely unreal. While on that topic, I snuck in Neyland while at a camp there in at UT in the late 90's, thing was so massive. And the OBC is doing just fine at USC. He's recruiting great and the Gamecocks have one hell of a team that could legitimately compete for the SEC title next year.

Graduated high school in Stillwater, but took a step up to the SEC for college. Go Hogs!

Texas Stadium. The video screen is too low though. Punters have hit it a couple times. And the owners an idiot

Hey, Spikester, ease up on my Arkansas boy

It is. I can't definitely agree with you on that one. Being a Volunteer fan singing rocky top reminded me of the sing song days at Goodison. It's all about the atmosphere and the passion it just something you can't explain. Also, the South has by the best teams and huge fan bases. Everyone bleeds orange here. Tennessee fans are all over the place. The SEC is the best Conference around.

RAFUH - Awesome! Where are you living now?

And the SEC is the best right now, but that's only been concrete for 4-5 years. Big XII schools have one less MNC over time. Also, college football is just as big in Big XII/BigTen land. OU, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M all have massive sized stadiums that are just as large if not larger than SEC stadiums. Penn State being the largest of them all.

just thought I'd throw it out there that I'm a suffering Hoosiers football fan (c/o '06)

been to atleast 1 game every year for the last 10... not many IU fans can say that

Eastern North Carolina. Do miss me some Joe's cheese fries!

Correction..... SEC became the best 'round about 1991 when Arkansas joined the conference :D

Back to actual thread topic: If I was England, I'd be worried about Russian bid. They seem more likely to play fast and loose with laws, finances and the like.....ie right up FIFA's alley.
