England 2018

Sorry, but it's hard to not find the London (and the provinces) 2018 FIFA World Cup bid failure as a bit funny ^^

Technically, England seemed the best bid but overall, Russia opens the World Cup up to encompass the whole world after finally bringing one to Africa.

Plus the cash changing hands from the Russian oligarchs to the FIFA members back pockets wouldn't have done much harm either.

Behave yourself. Stop with the conspiracies, and the Thatcher ****ed us bandwagon [Poor language removed]. England is North too, and it would have brought millions into all cities across the country who were going to be hosting games. Jobs too.

The fact that your laughing just shows exactly what kind of people you are.

Look on the brightside - we've saved billions not hosting that [Poor language removed] and 'we' have the Olympics

No it wouldnt mate, Sky and Murdoch want you to think that way.

It's a fact we would of made a loss on hosting it, exhibit A, South Africa

Russia and Qatar win World Cup bids..

...Incidentally Sepp Blatter announced that he is now open for business following completion of the Oil Refinery he had been building in his back garden.

Can't even compare the nations.

Bottom line is Scousers hate England, mainly because of Thatcher. Move on. It's gone, finished.

I've never known so many people take so much delight in their own nation's failures. Unfortunately you don't live in a bubble, and what happens in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham, also effects Liverpool. A World Cup would generate income, it would generate jobs, it would revitalise an awful lot of things in this country, including people who live in Liverpool.

Mind you if we had a decent stadium and were part of the bid, that may change things somewhat.
