Whatever happens this will no doubt be Southgates last match. In my eyes he's a good man who's turned us into real consistent challengers. Obviously he won't change the starting line up now. In my eyes kane needs to go, he doesn't bother defences like the brighter Watkins and Toney. Regardless of this, can we beat an excellent Spanish team?

I get that it is probably the system he plays in for England (though I think tonight he had no excuse) but he can’t play as a lone striker and be popping up at left back in huge games.
Be good to see some fast strong striker who can create stuff from nothing.

Shaw has to start, there’s no excuse now. That Yamal will retire Trippier if he’s allowed the opportunity.

On the one hand if England win there'll be flags, shirts and badly sung songs everywhere for days on end.

But it will also wind up the bitter goblins that can't stand to see England doing well.

I'm really torn on this one.
It'll make Benidorm and some ex pat communities very interesting.
Big chance for a really big pish up.

Part of me thinks we will get smashed (the pessimist part of me) but the other more logical part of me thinks it will probably be a pretty poor/close final decided by individual errors or moments of brilliance. Think Spain have been overhyped a bit purely because of how negative lots of other big teams have played.

On paper it is not that strong a Spanish side, they just hit form from the get go.
