Zatara

Player Valuation: £100m
We're all very excited about the young players on our books at the moment;

McCarthy -- Central midfield 22 years old
Barkley -- Attacking midfield 19 years old
Stones -- Central defence 19 years old

With a few others coming through hopefully, Duffy/Lundstram/Long/Hope/Garbutt/Green etc

The exciting brand of football we're playing now with Lukaku and Deulofeu being 2 big name young stars should encourage any top young European players to join us knowing they will get game time.

My question is this -- other than young stars from big clubs like De Gea / Gotze / Neymar etc -- who are the guys who Martinez may move for from the smaller teams?

Players like Butland (now Stoke) could have been a good signing I'd have thought for 3.5mil + also will Hughes of Derby county at 18 could be a great addition to our midfield options.

Who else is out there who Martiez may look to bring in ?

If ive learnt 1 thing from supporting Everton is that no matter who our Manager is, they always surprise us with their signings.

So basically, no idea.

Bruno Martins Indi was heavily linked in the summer and from what I've read could be the ideal replacement for Distin and he's only 21. That sorts out our defence for the next few seasons and means he and Stones could be the long term future after Distin and Jagielka.

I've been very concerned with Howard over the past couple of seasons, shocked we didn't go for Butland when he moved to Stoke especially at 3.5mil. Not sure about Robles but perhaps not a priority at the moment.

In central midfield we have Barry/McCarthy/Gibson and so with Gibson being injury prone and Barry on loan I'm hoping Lundstram can make the step up here but think we could also do with another prospect to push the senior players. Not sure who this would be but perhaps a deep lying playmaker so we have a lot of variety in the centre -- Will Hughes?

Barkley should have Osman as cover really but to me after this season (actually now) he's on his last legs so as above, perhaps a Hughes type could be cover over two positions?

On the wings we lack a winger with Pienaar getting on a bit and he and Mirallas only having minimal cover....so possibly a young prospect here.

I won't even mention the awful forward options behind Lukaku.

Pretty confident Jelavic, Heitinga and one other player will be recycled in January to continue Martinez' rebuilding.

Lads like this sometimes come up overnight, sometimes they spend years developing, gathering steam till they finally make that massive move.

Remember those lids that were effing BOSS on FM in 2009?
Most of those went that path:

Raphael Varane. 17 years, CB at Lille, could be bought for peanuts, became world class.
Where is he today? Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale was of the same type of player in FM09. Quite the foresight, that there.
Neymar, just the tits in 08-09. Stays with Santos, becomes a massive star, gets a huge move to the world's biggest club.

Don't get me started on Eden Hazard - or Romelu Lukaku, when he was at Anderlecht at 16.

And then there's James Vaughan. And Jose Baxter. And Jonjo Shelvey. Anyone remember KHouma Babacar? What a virtual beast.
Not all of them work, but most lids make a name for themselves like Barkley is doing now.

Id go:

Byram (Leeds)
Shaw (Southampton)
Lalanna (Southampton)
Brady (Hull)
Hughes (Derby)

I think these days the Southampton players would be out of our reach due to their owner.....

Byram is a great shout, Stones/Coleman/Byram would cover us through right centre back / right back and right midfield....

This chap http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Praet

I've never heard of him, Anderlecht would ask for huge fees looking at what Chelsea spent on Lukaku.
Yes him he's like a mata type player who threads ball throught . Imagine in a few years when Barkley becomes disciplined he could move to centre mid and having Denis preat in the attacking role to thread balls for lukuka to get on. The mind jizzes

If Romelu carries on like he has, I'll sell my nan to help fund his wages
