The fella representing us this year, Sam Ryder, is an absolutely cracking singer. The song could go either way like.. I'm personally not a huge fan though. Reckon they should've gone down a more ballad-y route with him.

The competition itself has been a bit better since they've changed up the voting system in recent years, pretty much guarantees we'll never end up with 'nil poi' again ha.

Having said that, the fact that Ukraine are the absolute runaway favorites with the bookies suggests that people won't be voting strictly on the quality of the song anyway........
 

Is there any point to this anymore? Its a bunch of Europeans voting for the country they like most and booing those who they don't. Its nothing to do with actual music ... or as Israel and Australia prove ... Europe.

Its about as straight as UEFA.

We're in for some votes as we've not been behaving like goats this last year.

Well ESC threads here get 30+ pages on the night of the contest. It is so much fun.

Of course music is shoite, and ridiculous. But the on stage shows and voting process make up for it.
