Pickford needs to be told to stop playing aimless high balls up the pitch as well.. thought Mangala was awful this evening, at least Gana was trying to get on the ball and make something happen, Mangala never shows for more than a bounce back and isn't wanting to get involved enough.

There is especially one moment i remember with yakubu. I dont know what game, but he was running towards the ball, the started running away from it, just to shoulder barge a defender to the ground , then going back for the ball.

Generally you get a new manager bounce when the players have downed tools for the last one. Realistically, these players are just so poor, there is no scope for a bounce.

Haven't you consider that he might have been told to do that? Have you ever played football at a level with a coach? Because if you had, you'd know that keepers kick according to instructions.

Some signs of encouragement there.

Observations
- Harrison & Lindstrøm nowhere near good enough, must replace with a quality wide option.

- Doucoure plenty of endeavour & pressed well but severe lack of quality in possession; can be used in certain games, but let’s get Moyes his Cahill / Fellaini option this window.

- Before the game I’d have said LB is top priority; Mykolenko played well today though and looked better with more license to get forward. Still needs addressing this window if possible.

- Teams were evenly matched and only difference was quality finishing between Watkins & DCL.

- Happy to see a different Plan B off the bench with Moyes going to a 3-5-2, should’ve resulted in a goal but DCL wasteful.

Think Lindstrom might be able to offer something alot more than Harrison Which wouldn't be hard. Doucoure might be an option owing on with 15 or so minutes to go but like Dcl he has to be stopped starting games
