Upon reflection of this week: The top two teams are not up to much, we largely matched them. The other teams above us must be relatively poor to allow those teams to be at the top.

Some judicial purchases and this renewed team ethic could see us take a significant step forward, especially next season when mostly we’ll be playing only once per week.

Such a poor first half of the season has cost us very dear.
Sensible opinion mate.

The crowd are meant to inspire the players, not the other way around!

I think the manager is the one to inspire the players during his time with them during the week and his pre match team talk, we do inspire them at crucial times and even when they come onto the field and the crowd were very vocal at the start of the game and in the initial attacking moves but got quieter when it was obvious Arsenal were running the game and we were offering little. Again at the start of the second half when we got the penalty and had a good go for a few minutes then petered out and Arsenal took over the game again although they never really interested enough to fight for the win but we never looked like scoring and I think the crowd were bored but happy with the point.

I came across a discussion about the penalty between Chris Roy, Dion Dublin and two other blokes I don't know and they showed it from every angle. I wasn't sure about it at the time and thought we might’ve been a bit lucky to get it, but I saw enough to be sure it was the correct decision,
I know Foy is a Blue but it wasn't anything he said. It was pointed out that as they entered the area the Arsenal defender fell into Harrison's left leg knocking him over.

Just waiting for the season to end tbh. Massive clearout needed to make room for better players. Keane, Young, Coleman, Doucoure, DCL, Harrison,
Lindstrøm, Broja, Holgate, M*upay all need to go

Just catching up with yesterday's results; so as the dust settles after the weekend, turns out we didn't help the neighbours to the title ;)

Had a little feeling Marco's lot might do something there. Great result for them.

Missed the whole game, wife smashed into a curb and bust the tyre....no spare...had to wait 2 hours for call out....£220 down before breaky.🤬

Wife gets picked up and on with her day.....me....sat listening in the car, fuming.

Can't tell a thing on the radio these days about how well annyone plays, has it always been this bad ?? Shocking.

Anyway, another good point.....but the prem these days is soooo boring.

Honestly the commentating on the radio has gone down the toilet. Feel your pain with the car mate. The Mrs went over a speed bump too quick and knocked a cable out. Tow then diagnostic then repair.... Kissing good bye to bank holiday weekend on the lash 😭

I sit in the Upper Bullens Road stand by the half way line and everybody around me wondered why the decision for the penalty had gone to VAR——it looked like a clear and obvious penalty.

Killer aint it ...losing bank holls even worse mate, ruined my whole weekend too.....slightly saved it last night, 8 guiness deep soaking up the last of the sun 🤣

Had to even turn the radio off, just confused me even more.

I agree with your overall point but the top two teams are playing like the season is over, which it is.
A half decent striker and we are further up the league with this seasons team. So definitely optimistic with a few signings to be around too 10.

Agree that Liverpool and Arsenal are not all that. Liverpool in particular seem to be falling apart. If we had some competent attacking players (rather than relying on the likes of Harrison and Doucoure) we could easily have come away from those two games with four or more points. Hopefully this bodes well for next season as I assume we will upgrade those positions.

Sky and other sites had it down as Everton draw from controversial penalty decision adding in the article it was soft etc. seems like whenever we get the benefit of a decision the media in turn put it down as controversial. The penalty against Brighton being prime example and you couldn't get a more stonewall penalty than that
