…..they beat us twice at Goodison last season (once on pens in the cup), we owe them. I think of them as uncomplicated team who have some quality and offer attacking threat but it’s certainly a winnable game.

Presume Branthwaite will be fit, despite the Keane heroics I expect he’ll come back in as the only change.

I think Keane will stay in. Two successive clean sheets and an incredible finish. Hopefully Branthy makes the bench and is option for last 20 minutes to hold onto a lead.

Think it will be unchanged if they all remain fit this week.

I think this can be another 2-1 win, they'll miss Andersen at the back so DCL should be right on their CBs.

4-4 with leeds.

Altho feel like he wasn't striker he was right wing, may be wrong though.

Richard Dunne another one from Walter Smith - shortly before he got sacked after a 3-0 defeat at Boro. Still remember the coach back blues celebrating he had gone.

What a dismal season that was until Moyes turned up and got the wins needed. Again probably getting relegated but changed manager just in time.

I thought Walter Smith was exciting appointment based on his success at Rangers and working with big names but aside from a mildly exciting 99/00 it was an incredibly dull period of games and at the end he was signing a well past Gazza and Ginola. Richard Gough did a good job but also 36-37 when he signed.

They have one player in Pereira who I think is better than anything we have in that role but aside from that they are a team we should be able to match in games imo. They are fairly predictable in what they do and as you said we really do owe them one.

He was done on the money front wasn't he?

Didn't we sign loads of players we didn't actually have the money for, so had to rapidly offload them?
