Hello guys my name is Jorge Rodrigues. I am from Rhode Island in the United States of America. I have become a new toffee (in the past yr to be honest with you since I started to follow the BPL this past yr) and love every moment of it. I was drawn to Everton because of the fact that the fans are passionate about the team and have a vested interest in how the club is being run. I also like the fact that they are different from all the other teams in terms of taking steps forward to combat homophobia and lgbt rights (which btw is a huge deal for me). Not only that the style of play that they have and the players that have come from this club are amazing people to watch and to see them play on television. Since I am relatively new in terms of being an Everton fan, it is hard for me to choose an all time favorite player... but from the ones that I know of and have found out by reading online articles and the history on the everton website for me would be Tim Cahill. He is a player that abides by the virtues that Everton supports. On top of that he has done so much for the club and have read so much stuff from various fans about what he has done. My favorite current player is a tie between four people and that is Gareth Barry, James McCarthy, Phil Jagielka, and Kevin Mirallas. Those four players are spectacular in their respective positions and have done so much for this club this season and under the new manager Roberto Martinez. I am hoping to make an impact as an evertonian and cannot wait to support them for the rest of my life.
