Player Valuation: £100m
Apparently G14 are expanding to the top 50 clubs in Europe could Everton soon be joing the elitest club? link below form bbc:

Meanwhile the G14, which represents 18 of Europe's top clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, intends to expand its membership to around 50 by the end of the year.

The move is designed to ensure the G14 is not perceived as elitist as both Fifa and Uefa have failed to recognise or engage with the group on the grounds that it does not repersent the majority of clubs in Europe.

"We understand UEFA's concerns and we accept that we may have not been representative of all clubs, but we have now decided to make this change and expand," said Kurth told Reuters.

Thoughts, will we be cosidered in the expasion of 50? Pros? Cons?

What's the point? G14 exists to ensure the super rich stay super rich. I expect this is simply propoganda.

To carry more favour around Europe?

To create a G14 B League to keep the up and coming clubs from causing a fuss?

we won't be included thats for sure.

Well Platini has been making noises recently about altering the Champions League apple cart. I'd say this is them just trying to placate the situation. I very much doubt anything will happen.

Thats kinda the reason why i wouldnt mind if we joined, i can see a strom brewing in particular during platinis reign of Uefa. I think with that it will become an important representive bodies for clubs to negotiate and lobby. Unless we're not invited then to quote chico its GASH.

admittance upon the agreement that new members do exactly what the big boys say.

it would be interesting, especially if the entire PL were allowed into the party then sides like wednesday, forest and leeds got promoted but the 50 places were used up.

I have no doubht the current format of the G14 is wrong, but honestly see it evolving into the the club union of europe and entering disscussions, lobbying, objecting, there does simply need to be a boddy that represents clubs in this day and age. for example if it could be a kind of football european union they could formulate and agree cross club policy on the likes of third party ownership etc.

If you think about both Uefa and Fifa are similar in format to G14 in an autocratic sense. For me club representation is vital for the future of the game, simply because it is clubs who supply the product, but the structure of a new g14 group would have to more democratic.

I would rather not be a part of this elitist type of group.

Kinda goes against Everton being "The People's Club."

I say screw 'em. Don't need it.

Can't see us being incorporated into that group, since G14 also stated that they want teams from 20 different countries... so many new slots will go to teams from second rated nations.

Don't know if I want Everton to be a part of G14 anyway.. even if we get an invitation.

But I do know that if we do and accept TW will blast it, and if we don't accept... TW will blast it then too.

Expanding G14 to 50 - across the whole of Europe - doesn't make it much less elitist, and, to keep with the EU analogy, the current members are bound to want to keep some kind of veto, or an imbalance in voting powers.

The fact that it's even being considered suggests that the 'top' clubs aren't getting their way at the moment, and are seeking to strengthen their position with the support of the wannabes.

On first impressions, I'm with the "[Poor language removed] them" lobby.
