Makalele was around that height I think (certainly wasn't much bigger) Ghana was around 5'8 I think, Mascherano was around 5'8 too.
I don’t think gana was ever a proper number 6 always had a Barry or Schneiderlin next to him.
And the other 2 were very aggressive, not sure Gilmour is, to be fair he’s still very young and I know lampard really likes him. So a lot to work with

There's the age thing as well, two of those I said we're already mid 20s by the time they played over here, Mascherano I think was 21/22 but initially he looked lightweight when at West Ham.

16 out, 6 or 7 in.

LB: Mykolenko / Nkounkou

RF: Gray / Dobbin

We would need 6 or 7 new signings.

10 to Sell

Last time I looked I'm sure we had a lad called Gordon on our books.

Chelsea though have produced so many quality players through there youth system, scary when you think about it, even Rive came through it, and thsts why Lampard wanted to bring him to Chelsea before he really exploded and broke through big time at West Ham, shows that he has the eye for a really good young player (or trusts his contacts at Chelsea who've worked with these young players)

Given Chelsea (Lampard as manager excluded) don't tend to give too many of them a chance, it's an obvious source of recruitment we will look to exploit you'd hope.

Gilmour, Gallacher, Sarr, Broja just off the top of my head would all improve us hugely and most importantly fir the long term

This would make a lot of sense. Unfortunately they tend to not sell cheap, but in general they work out as good investments.

If we can bring a couple of assistants in from Chelsea that will really help. The question should be to Lampard, who reminds you of Mount, Tomori, Abraham etc when you gave them a chance.

I like the lad at Huddersfield at CB, and Broja up front would be sensible buys.

There may well be lads in their 18s and 23s who we can get out too.

Possibly so, it depends on IF they see a way he progresses into their team mate I guess.

On your previous post, the pick of the up and comers looks like Gallagher right now at Palace, but supposedly a lot of interest already from abroad for him

I think Gallagher may end up being very expensive now unfortunately, but Gilmour, after a disappointing loan could be available a bit cheaper.

Chelsea do seem to be happy to sell younger players though, but generally at a pretty reasonable fee.

I hope we could get a loan or 2 from there. I think maximising the loan market, like Martinez started doing would be a good ploy.
