Worth a punt. Lampard might be the one to get him back on track. He's got quality, undoubtedly, just needs to sort his head out
I can imagine Lampard getting a tune out of him. But he would need to want to work hard. Lampard is a hard worker, he won't tolerate slackers.

Well worth trying to snaffle Gilmour. Neither him nor Chelsea will be happy with how that Norwich loan is going, and from what I’ve seen of him prior to that the kid has quality. Absolutely what we need right now too.

Dele Alli on the other hand? On loan, fine, but I’ve never rated him at the best of times. Bad attitude, not remotely creative, and doesn’t work hard.

Did you watch Loftus-Cheek play for Fulham last season? I watched him play a dozen times and he was terrible. I appreciate you are suggesting a loan but we need better. Gives you a flavour

I did not see him at Fulham at all. Have seen him a few times for Chelsea and he looked good. But that’s always the danger with taking a player out of a good environment to a bad one like Gilmour at Norwich. Let’s see how we do under Frank, but you might be right, maybe we should target someone else for January.
He's played quite well for Chelsea this season in a deeper role. Tuchel seems to like him. Not even sure he would be available for transfer is it? Or has it been reported he's available?

I like Loftus-Cheek. He woukd be good for us. Very strong. Quick feet. Good on the ball
Signing Loftus-Cheek will be repeating mistakes of the past. The lad is 26 now with a bad injury record and widely reported to be on north of £150k a week. He was extremely poor for Fulham last season.

Try reading a few pages of this to get a feel. A poor passer, slow at releasing the ball kills attacks, no stamina, always injured.

Realistically we need to bolster midfield and bring in some calm heads. I’d go with RLC and Ramsey.. now I know they aren’t what we’d want as first choice but we’ve got about 48hrs.. so as I say realism required!

RLC - no brainer for me, strong and aggressive and decent on the ball - also might be useful in defending a set piece with his size

Ramsey - very hard working and has quality on the ball. Lampard can’t suddenly get this team playing decent football without getting players in who are comfortable doing so. A less risky option than Deli (his head couldn’t cope with a battle) and brings game management and some genuine ability to play our front 3 in.

Not what I’d go for if this was the start of summer but as I say with limited time and funds, getting these two in would make me feel much more positive about premier league survival

We are not moving on 16 players but I admire your optimism

Agree the contract six are gone but we aren’t selling 4 defenders at once of which 3 are centre backs

Townsend is a good squad player off the bench, Iwobi will be too much of a P & L hit and no one will take on his wages. Davies is a squad player

So, we may sell Gomez at a loss, G’Bamin at a loss, Allan probably evens which would lead to a DCL or a Ritchie sale to balance the books, so 18 if your numbers are to be considered
Plus you haven’t included Rondon in the clear out so 6 players we would need to build from

Plus the six you bring in is a 12 man squad plus untried kids?

Nah!

Plus the six you bring in is a 12 man squad plus untried kids?

Lost me...i didnt name any players to sign.

We move out 16 and need 6 or 7 replacements.

There are many clowns at the club but Coleman isn’t one of them. Kenwright, Delph, Rondon, etc

Coleman is not good enough anymore but doesn’t deserve labels like this. He has been mismanaged badly the last few years. He should have been back up to a new right back and played sparingly where he could have done a job.

He was never the greatest captain but has given his all for the club. He speaks well and seems to genuinely care for the club. Let’s not forgot he was one of the best full backs in the league for £60k. He owes us nothing.

Id say the lack of any real technical ability (hes not learned how to cross a football) while preaching to the fans through rallying cries when hes the worst player on the pitch was pretty pathetic.

Consoling players that attack teammates on a football pitch (Son) while having the temerity to argue with fans...

The man is a clown. Lost all respect for him after the Son incident.

Poor captain and a poor player for many years.

Last time I looked I'm sure we had a lad called Gordon on our books.

Youre right, I typed Dobbin twice.
