It'd be worth paying £7M to them to stop him scoring against us and other last minute goals for them.

Sure he’s building himself up.

Gilmour is probably a better all round midfielder though

Makalele was around that height I think (certainly wasn't much bigger) Ghana was around 5'8 I think, Mascherano was around 5'8 too.

Depends if he goes for the Jorginho/Gilmour type...someone to anchor and take the ball off the defence.

As with Kante he pushed him into a box to box centre midfield role.

Not sure with Lampard here...he may make drastic changes which we need and could entice them to stay and extend.

Lampard or no Lampard, they’re approaching their prime age, they’ll want to look at winning trophies and playing CL togger.

We ain’t offering either of them to allow them to play at the top level.

Now, as said on numerous occasions, we should have their ready made replacements waiting on the wings that can easily transition into the team next year. But we don’t.

So we’ll wait to see what Kia offers us

My heart screams no at this but… my head.. if we were to sell DCL in the summer he’d be a decent low cost replacement with the aim of bringing Dobbin through. Think I may be sleep deprived these last few days
