Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Cracking idea to buy a guy who’s been out of footy for a year and a half ....
Just seen Rico Henry is playing again for Brentford this weekend after a long time out.

He should've made the England squad a few years back imo as was playing at the level Robinson has reached at Fulham but Sir Southgate was not interested.

If he can string games together then I think Brentford might be open to selling him as they've coped without him for last 18 months and very clever with how they sell and buy.

He's far better than Myko going forward obviously and can play in different formations. Also been playing in prem since 2021 so pretty experienced at this level now. I think he's the type who'd appeal to Moyes as a steady eddie type and then can also sign a younger LB to develop in the background.
Just what we need….have you not seen what has happened with Broja. To much of a risk for me

What the hell tier of ITKnowery do we file that under?

Seems likeliest of the links so far. Textor needs cash and we know Thelwell has a track record of going back to old targets.

Only thing I could see being an issue is Textor refusing to deal with TFG out of spite. Seems enough of an idiot to do something like that.

Fwiw thought he looked an exciting player when we were linked in summer and he's actually a true left footed right winger with considerable pace (!!!)

Hes only started 9 games this season.

….Aaron Cresswell aged 35 on a short-term deal. Local lad, wife is also local and just had a mansion built in these parts.

Bit like you eh eggsy?

Ex Red poop and all...

Red though isn't he. As if that matters to money grabbing primadonnas.

Not sure on this level of @chicoazul tomfoolery of posting with a former red?

Hurtful...but harmful?

I love it.

…he’s RS but a good pro, it wouldn’t really matter.

Just like you in 2023 and before...could hope for a 2025 rebrand?

Or is it too much to ask?

I'd prefer a sneaky bid for Ben Chilwell. Much maligned but he's so much better than Myko. In the Baines mold. Moyes would appreciate that.

Despite my hatred for your posts...

...i wonder why you would want a permanently injured player to sign for Everton?

Are you a left back angling for a move or an agent using the forum to ilfiltrate the need for one of your players to sign?

Are you...KIA JOORABCHIAN ????

Tierney would be superb as a wing back in a Moyes team .

Sadly he's hardly ever fit , probably won't come here and question if we can afford him

He is in a downward spiral since the summer. I feel sorry for the lad, he seems a very nice fellow, but his limited 'footballing IQ' doesn't match the requirements of the current manager in which positional awareness is key.

This said, he has undeniable qualities: rather pacey (but not supersonic at all), strong as a bull in the shoulder to shoulder duels, never giving up, never hiding. But I do think the Prem is a step far too high, though he would probably be more useful in a Moyes' system, more direct an less fluid.
