DAZN stepped in last summer with a TV deal but it was dependent on fixed number of subscribers and they could withdraw next December or presumably re-negotiate. They are way off target.

Perils of an utterly dominant single team in a country where football is not the national obsession.

In most other business sectors being the dominant force, even if you sustain significant losses getting there, is the aim. The risk in football is that it kills the golden goose.

Watched him last night, wasn’t impressed at all. Seemed lightweight and not especially dynamic or exciting. I know he’s not played much this season but I’d be hoping for better for the likely money he’d cost.

He's also 27 in September and would cost at least 30m (22.5m is his current break even PSR value so they simply wouldn't sell below that number) and want wages well over 100k as he's on 80k pw plus bonuses already at Chelsea, very reminiscent of the types of deals that we did under Moshiri, paying to fees and wages for players the wrong side of 25 so with little resale value for the club.

I'll be honest I've never heard of a sell on clause in reality that does that, seems like it's one of those great misconceptions they exist at all. In practise they always work on the profit on the sale.

Lampard wanted Cunha. At the time myself and @Eggs were saying how good he could become.

If we have £40mil then its worth popping a bid in as im certain he would go for far more in summer with only 2 years on his deal and currently of course may help them stay up.

Think they signed him for around that as well...but can always put a bid in.

I'm a bit shocked you'd choose to spend that much on a soon to be 26yo tbh Zat.
