He would maybe help us very short term but that is still only if he can handle the pace. He's a player I like but it just is the wrong circumstances.
Leaving aside he is an arrogant, lazy, weapon-headed bellwhiff, I look at Dele Ali and wonder "where would he even play in our team?"
For Spurs and England he has been deployed pretty much exclusively as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1 (please correct me if I'm wrong). His style of play appears to be that of a goalscoring threat arriving late in the box. He's doesn't drop back, press, win the ball back or defend. He's not creative, he doesn't dribble past people... he's a finisher.
On loan as cover for DCL, playing as a CF in our 4-3-3, MAYBE he works out. Would I rather have him as my backup CF instead of Tosun? Yes.
At the moment if DCL gets hurt or suspended we have to move Richarlison to CF and hope to get a tune out of Gordon or Bernard. I actually prefer having Richarlison out wide.

Alli I would take too. Why not? A loan with an agreed price to buy for. He's 24 and worth a gamble. 18 month loan, it doesn't work out, we don't buy? It brings a different type of way to attack to our front 3. I would prefer to bring on Alli than Tosun.

You would think so but no links really so far. Maybe the plan is to play Coleman first choice, Iwobi 2nd Choice if Digne is fit to play on the left, with Digne injured we play Holgate at RB (like we did in the last game). If all 3 of them are unavailable, we will play Kenny at RB.

I actually think this would make us worse than what we've been playing but then again removing James for Dele will do that. I really dislike the Khedira idea as bad as we need a #6.
