In the summer when the rumours of Davies leaving for £12mil came out, some people would have taken £6mil and others wanted £20mil.

Id say £12-15mil would have been a fair price.

Sigurdsson also was supposed to be offered a chance in the middle east. We dont know the fee but id happily have moved on both players if we could bring in £20mil.

That would free up wages and give us a wedge towards a new midfielder.

I wouldn't mind him till the end of the season on loan, would rather him than Khedira.

Carlo has this and he will only get players that will improve us .. we are going in the right direction and need to be patient. Offload Bolasie , Besic , Davies and Tosun In this window and sign a striker and a midfielder and we will improve. Short term midfield player will be ok if we offload the others and free up wages . Then go again in the summer ... Lovin being a blue at the moment !!!!!

Exactly. Gbamin was a sitting player. Gana was capable of it, but it wasn't his best position. Take him over Khedira if we are going to loan older players.

Sat last night looking at our starting XI and even without James or Digne we still need first choice players in:

Right Back - Holgate has done well but Coleman has to be upgraded, I don't doubt he can still do a job but age, injuries and ability is showing.

Central Midfield - We have tried every other available to us and we don't have a third midfield who fits in with Allan and Doucoure. A out and out ball winner who shields the back four is needed.

Right Winger - Iwobi has been excellent and played well but this position is vital to balance out the front 3. James has taken this role but he hasn't the width or pace to drive defences back. This position also gives us another option from the attacking point.

We are having a good season but we could be a great season.
