If we qualify for the Europa League then he is exactly the type of player we could do with next season....versatile and quick.

If we finish tenth though and have to have another revamp in the summer...
I actually liked King a couple seasons back but he's 29 now and wants a very lucrative contract. It just screams short-term and costly.

Would take King here all day if we could work out a deal that actually suits us for once. Throw a decent loan fee at them with no obligation to buy and cover his wages for the duration. We need cover and they need him off the books because of his wages.

Be arsed getting fleeced again because we have left it far too late to do any serious business.

12 games and 0 goals for King this season. I'm really hoping it's a smoke screen and we pull a beauty out the bag. Surely if they want a champions league spot this season, they have to be bringing a striker in!?!

If Everton have left it until the very last second to say compromise on wages or you're left at Bournemouth then fair play.
I get it, the threat of saying "well okay stay in championship if you don't want to compromise", but he's a free agent in the summer and is clearly aiming to get as good as deal as he would get then where he and the agent have all the power in negotiations.

The problem is Danny, I genuinely don't believe that'll be the main rationale behind it because I don't believe that he'll have been our main target.

We might get a good deal on wages or Bournemouth compromising on some of their demands, but I suspect it's more to do with our own failings.

Well... no though? Because that means we've left a critical bit of business and reduced to a game of bluff in the last few hours.

If he doesn't compromise we have no forward signing. Which seems a stupid way of doing business to me.

Absolutely. We go asda perhaps our other targets aren’t available.
