Me and my sister are coming to the City game at Goodison and I haven't been up there for a while, as I live down south so go to the aways.

What are the best bars to go in before the game close to Goodison, and which are the best ones in Liverpool for a night out?

Random I know, thanks guys and COYB!

I'd head for Liverpool One for a night out, some good bars/restaurants,Palm Sugar/Chaopraya(Thai) ,love Rigbys on Dale Street myself for an oldy worldy type pub,Winslows open again next to Goodison, just head to County Road for the game and take your pick!

if weathers nice

if the weather's nice, the fan zone at Goodison is good for a pre-game drink...

Before the game, Thomas Frost & the Winslow both in walking distance to the ground, clubs in town. Just flag a taxi and ask him, they are in the centre of Liverpool City centre, there is loads of bars, all different tastes and flavors.

Close to the ground theres also The Spellow, on Goodison Rd. It was packed inside and out against Man U.

For a night out I like the area east of Liverpool One/Hannover Street. Lots of clubs, bars and restaurants on Seel St, Fleet St and Wood St.

We're more bar than club girls. Live band/music? Scouse accent everywhere, beer and we're laughing

I'd suggest Hardman street and working your way down towards seel street/slater street/wood street area then tbh, good collection of bars and places with live music on at night time, if ya like rock/metal then the swan on wood streets worth a visit for a few, that area still has a more studenty atmosphere rather than stag do'y one on matthew street

Matthew street area is usually full of stag and hen do's so swerve unless you don't mind that but theirs a few decent places their too worth a visit, just personal preference is for the other end of town tbh

On a side note, has anyone watched the game in the Camp and Furnace like, was planning on going their for the City game and wondered if anyone's got a thumbs up for it?
