Everton Squad Numbers 2020/21

@APN_EFC i'm also a big fan of a numerically well ordered squad.

Squad Numbers under 25 currently available :- 3, 4, 6, 15, 16, 18, 22, 24.

In the first preseason friendly Holgate wore number 4 freeing up number 2 for a new rightback signing, JJK switched from 43 to 28, not getting the no 2 shirt is maybe confirmation that hes not the plan for first choice RB.

3 is now available following Baines' retirement, would like to see Digne switch, Nkounkou wore 19 in the friendly.

6 is available, reckon this will be Allan's.

Anthony Gordon Switched to 24.

Hopefully we'll see Delph and Siggy punted to free up 8 & 10 for Doucoure and James, if not I'd shift them to new numbers, they're quite welcome to throw tantrums and hand in transfer requests.

22, Pienear and Yak's old shirt would be quite nice for a new winger or striker if we get another.

Tend not to see players give up numbers, unless they are on their way out or a special request is made. Unless Delph or Siggy are going I unfortunately don't see them giving up those numbers, which is a massive shame.

Would like to see Digne take the 3 shirt, but players do have weird affinity with shirt numbers.

For commercial reason, James 10 is a must. When Christiano Ronaldo moves, players give up the 7, James is that kind of marketable name!

Yeah I like it too. Even though you might argue it doesnt matter, it means something to players and fans - you either like to have a 'first XI' number from 1 - 11 or you like a meaningful number, like Gomes did recently and all those players in the world who want no.23 or 20 or their date of birth or whatever.
We still put a lot of meaning into no.9 at Everton dont we

I wish we had Digne, Mina, Keane and Holgate at 3,4,5,6 and not Delph or Siggy in the numbers. Looks like Seamus will never give up 23 and so why not Kenny or ask Seamus to do it?

I'd like no.11 to go to someone else as well..

I know it's all cosmetic but i like it.

22 is a goalkeeper number for me.

They should not be allowed to recycle numbers. Each one gets used once, so Richarlison would be like number 256 or something. Like registration numbers, maybe have where they are from on there too.. BRA 256. Yeah that would work...
