He's not dyche is just obsessed with premier league experience and over romanticizes Keane
I will agree with that if Branthwaite starts on the bench and Keane starts ahead of him but that is unlikely imo.

O Brien is a player that will need a little time to settle, I think the manager is correct in being cautious with when to start him.
I do believe he will grow into being a solid team member in time.

OBrien is fine, Dyche just wont be playing him over someone he trusts until the team unless its clear of danger or hes going 3 at the back.

Unless Chermiti develops, and we make one of the loans permanent next summer we have 5-6 obvious holes. Hopefully with new overlords by then we go for: RB, backup LB, CM, Winger x2, Striker. If our new overlords pay off the debt we will have budget to do that...otherwise Id expect we try to get 2 attackers, a RB, and fill in with loans.

Here's a question: Why didn't the club go after Joel Matip who left the RS at the end of his contract? A more than acceptable centre back, settled in Liverpool, completely free, at least 10 times better than Michael Keane and with plenty of Premier League experience that ought to have satisfied Dyche.

A two-year contract would have been a no-brainer and would have allowed us to spend that £15m O'Brien money on full backs.
