Not a chance. They want £30m plus for him and have, as far as I am aware, no reason to sell. With Rodriguez, at least we know Betis are desperate for cash so there may be some scope to bring down the fee and spread payment more.

It’s interesting to watch Forest go mental while Fulham and Bournemouth, who have actually experienced the economics of going between Championship and Prem and vice versa keep things fairly frugal.

Forest are throwing the kitchen sink at staying up and that’s fair enough but if they don’t it could be another 20 odd years. Not to mention a bit of a slap in the face to the face to the lads who took you up.

Bang on, Imagine being a forest player who played you're heart out last year then watching Lingard and let's say Ramsey both coming in on £200k p/w, I'd be livid.

But if it work's out and they stay up, the money they get pays for everything really, it's a catch 22.
