Honestly understandable not having high expectations of Benitez or any other manager that we could have signed as everyone else has failed. Problem I see is that quite a few people are seeming to want us to fail because he’s here which is ridiculous because you don’t have to support the manager to support the club. Kenwright, moshiri, Benitez, everyone else at the club will be long gone whilst the clubs still around and supported by us, our kids, our grandkids and so on.

Surely Benitez doesnt know now if for example PSG will stump up the cash for Kean or someone will take a big earner like Bernard off our hands. That will have big impact on our transfer dealings and you will see a bit of a Domino effect once more big money moves happen.

The issue i have is that over the past 2 seasons his performances havent been as good as they were before...when youre stepping up to a more physical faster league and going downhill...its not ideal.

I think £35mil would be better spent on a younger model...theres a few top young centre backs around at the moment.

You obviously love Walsh, but let me tell you, the man was a chancer. He was my old PE teacher and knew very little about football in general. He was a nice enough bloke but was full of it. He benefitted massively from being part of well developed systems at Chelsea and Leicester. Our recruitment hasn't been up to much for a long time.
