Definitely Right back and Right wing.

I disagree about CM. We have Allan, Doucoure, Gbamin, Gomes, Davies, Baningime, Delph, Onyango

I think a few of our younger players are going to get bigger roles this season.

Of that list I would only want to keep Doucoure and Davies. Onyango is a kid, Gbamin is coming back from horrible luck with injuries and the rest should be sold.

We absolutely need a midfielder.

He really is awful. Don’t think he even had a reputation pre-Liverpool, he played for Schalke who were bottom with about 3 points.
I;m not sticking my neck out on him, tbf. If Ild seen him play enough, I would.

The idea of taking one they rejected and making them pay for it appeals top me more than anything else.

Yeah lets not make any mistake about it Koulibally is a brilliant defender and is a much better player then Keane or Mina, I think I am one of the minority who doesn't actually think Mina is as good as he is made out, he makes me massively nervous in defence, moreso then Keane and he is no great shakes.

If we got Koulibally in, stuck Godfrey next to him I would be quietly confident in the defence... (if we got a quality right back)
I do agree with you , I don't particularly rate Mina either. I think he could very easily be sold this summer.
I wonder if we could see him go back to Barca with Lenglet coming here instead.

We are certainly going to sell players, even just to satisfy FFP alone and he may be one of the more saleable ones who is not key to the team.

I cannot see us sign Koulibaly unless the price has dropped hugely.

Sod FFP, it is not a fair rule and I do believe it would get chased out of court on anti-competition grounds, it's a load of BS designed to keep certain clubs at the top.
I am surprised that the EU have allowed this to happen on their turf. Competition and fair play represent one of their key pillars.

I fully get that clubs shouldn't be allowed to overspend and make persistent huge losses that are not sustainable. But why are rich owners prevented from investing money into the game if they wish to?. As long as it's invested in equity or at least a commitment to convert to equity at a future date then what's the problem.

The sport is full of rich people taking money out of the game, elite players and agents for example. Why on earth would you want to stop other rich people replacing those funds?

That was my opinion, not Rafas.

Obviously we need to replace some players for better quality. But overall we have sufficient depth in the squad apart from RB and RW.
Well at least that gives me some comfort, as I'd have had serious doubts about his ability, if watching us play in the last few years, he's looked at our defence and thought we didn't need a RB or commanding CB.

I'm slightly confused as to why you thought on the 6th July we had depth (and quality?) at RB but now you think we don't. It's pretty clear to most that we lack both depth and quality at RB.
