Everton Summer transfers 2021

We've done it before. Vlasic as stated - that was bloody ridiculous. In no way should one performance dictate a signing; there should be a raft of info and research behind every signing, and if they're not available you go down the list to find similar.

Hell, we did it with Fellaini famously - a last minute massive punt as we had money and he played well against Liverpool. It's just lazy - even if it comes off like it did with him, it's just blind luck. It indicates no serious system is in place.

With a DoF, you'd have hoped these amateur hour things were done, but no, we're even worse with it.
And that’s not true either, even Felliani said Everton had been scouting him for a year. Yes the deal was last minute but the player was on Moyes radar

Embarassing and sad seeing us scrounging in the bargain bin this summer.

Just go with what we've got and dream of big signings next summer.
You mean Demarai Gray is embarrassing?? Spending is down 600m overall. Arsenal have spent a fortune 150m and they have somehow managed to become worse. I'll be quiet happy if we get rid of a few more players which will be hard considering nobody is buying and getting a youngster to spell Seamus and gradually take over and a striker as cover for DCL if Kean isn't going to be that man.

We were linked to Jebbison before we even played Sheff United. Just to throw a nuke on your poor argument.

Prove it? Kyron Gordon was the one I was aware of - Jebbison was loosely thrown around ahead of the Sheff Utd game but no serious links at all.

Hahaha 90min.com? Seriously???

So unless it’s a BBC reported bid it’s not announced interest in him? I don’t believe articles like that just close their eyes and pick a few random teams out of the hat.

Just bow down, you’ve been schooled.

Woah Woah I was defending Gray when 95% of fans on here were crying and using the signing as a stick to beat the new manager with.

Gray has big potential and had experience in the PL/a title winning side so £1.5 million was a solid deal for us same as Townie on a free transfer replacing Benard.

Signing kids who aint getting into the starting 11 of mediocre sides such as Sheff Utd and Rangers is risky business for a club with supposed aims of competing in the top 10 and pushing for Europe.

They made an offer of 35 mil with incentives which would have taken the fee up to 35 mil. Newcastle wanted 50 that's true. That's what Rafael valued him at.

If we can get him in a swap deal or for 10 mil or less then it's a steal.

No they didnt.

And paying 10m for the lad, with 12 months on his deal would be absolutely horrendous. A couple of million quid or on a free is fine, but any more would be awful. He cant get into Newcastles team.
