I think you got the wrong impression, im very much pro-Moshiri, he will long term be the best thing thats happened to us, theres no doubt that was he not here the Summer would have been very different and I still believe we will spend a load of cash in the next week.

I just dont think its fair to add his share purchase on to "things hes done for Everton", its heavily rumoured hes paid off all the debts and ive always had the belief that the 100m kitty was a myth, I think Ronny was given a blank cheque, providing Stones was sold.

Theres a week left, if we dont make some serious moves my belief will shake a little, but its currently still there.

Big thing for me is a blank cheques all fine and dandy mate, but what was insited upon with that cheque - top fee paid, top wages we will offer etc, those in itself will effectively make a blank cheque not worth the paper its written on if the limits happened to be quite strict

Land purchase - if thats coming out of money for transfers etc, then sure as [Poor language removed] we are gonna be screwed when it comes to paying for the stadium as we are looking at 400m or so minimum that will go into the stadium rather than transfers - which would be an ominous portent as to future incomings and outgoings

Reckon we will be ok mate.

That really sounds like your saying we should be grateful that we are spendign the money we raise through player sales mate, hardly the new dawn various people promised

Nothing will be the same etc etc

I'm not at all saying that.

But come on lad, you're sensible, but you've just used the effing season ticket slogan that was released when we were in our worst form under Martinez as evidence of 'broken promises'

Everytime somebody in the media has spoken about us they have implied we cant be competed with, we have offered top dollar and we have beat everybody with regards wages, thats ofc IMHO, it was never about money with most of our targets, its all about that funky music they play every Wednesday and Thursday.

As that article I posted, image rights are not the after thought they once were, players can make VAST sums on image rights and sponsorship, European football increases their exposure, $$$$$$$$, its all about dem dollar, dollar bills.

You might counter with "offer the players more money", but thats not smart business sense and only an idiot or Peter Risdale does stuff like that.

Never dreamed I'd ever say this but kinda looking forward to the window ending . I get that we approached the big names that have been mentioned over the last thousands of posts but it's indict stove of just how far we have fallen as a club .. We need players in .. At least a striker if not two / centre mid for me and obviously a keeper ... Hart / Kone ( shawcross could be a outside bet ) ... Foreign centre mid and one of the two strikers that have been mentioned a lot lately ... Balotelli is and will never be a Koeman type of player ...

thats it.....

its the whole, new dawn bullshit again. Weve been fed this crap so many thime....

im Pro Moshiri, just think this summer should have been the slap to the prem that we are back.....but its turning into a whimper..

Its is mate and we should give them the benefit of the next week, we owe them that at least, once the window closes, well, im not sure, lets cross that bridge then.

Thing about us offering those higher wages i would guess is that all they would do is part offset the image right losses that a player may take a hit on over coming here over a more 'sponsorship friendly' club

so i kinda had doubts about for example us blowing Italian teams out the water for Witsel as an example as do they factor in the image rights losses he'd take from being at (much as it pains to say) a lower profile club with the added hit of no european football with all the sponsorship that woudl bring a player due to the wider market audience

really mate we needed to take a big hit and go arguably stupidly big for these players (too offset and a lot more the loss they would take) or realise that it was a fools errand to try to get them in now and go after the second 'list' from the outset.

As you say though it's a dangerous game if you go down that rabbit hole without a very sure plan and limit on it ultimately
