All good experience even if it doesn’t go well. You’d hope he would play more there than he would for us and if he’s getting regular championship football that’s a good stepping stone for him.

according to reports i think every single one of our players is on over 100k,

i've seen sandro, schneiderlin, tosun, siggurdsson, bernard, mina all been labelled as "earning over 100k" in some report or another, so i don't think anyone really knows.

My take on it is having just come from League 2 he could do with training at this level for a while yet. He seems to be competent enough for back up and Watford are a joke in the off field environment.

I know your views on loans Eggs and to a large degree I agree with you.

But we have a situation now where we have 2 promising young players vying for the same position and it doesn't make sense to keep both. A championship loan for one of them makes more sense if they are deemed to be above U23 level

Yeah keep Gibson and loan out Braithwaite. That leaves us with 4 cb's and one on loan. Then you can rotate them next season.

....i think Branthwaite has leapfrogged Gibson and is now a definite first team squad player. if a youngster is very special, then I’d be wary of sending him out.

Much will depend on whether the coaches think Gibson can make the step up. If we do bring in the likes of Tomori, its hard to see Gibson being involved.
 
I've heard that we weren't signing anyone this summer, coffin dodger Carlo is happy with our bloated squad and wants to give young guys like Bolasie a chance #itk

For the reasons you've mentioned I'd be very wary of shipping out Branthwaite. He's a very young kid who has already uprooted and probably only just getting settled in the area now. I don't think it would be a wise move shipping him out anywhere currently, I'd keep him here, develop him.

He'll get minutes that's for sure as Minas fitness is patchy at best so that would automatically bump him up to being on the bench if Keane and Holgate are starters.

yeh for me Gibson should be the one sent on loan to Watford if they're looking a centre half.
