I’d probably swap Coleman for Kenny and Keane for Mina but aside from Pickford, that looks a very strong team on paper.

They don’t have any confidence in him now because they haven’t really seen him play surely? The fact that they seem to have his recovery date as sooner than thought and generally chatter about him in press conferences show that he’s at least in their plans AS a back up to the superior midfielders we’re bring in (I agree with that). Being in the plans don’t have to mean first team. I see him as more like-for-like cover for Allan and Doucourè than anyone else we have

When he was first signed I remember reading that Gbamin was rated higher as a centre half than as a midfielder.
Possibly now they are considering him as a centre half where he may have a better chance of staying fit as he will not be covering the same amount of ground as he would in midfield.
