6th place Everton go into this Sundays 3 o clock kick off against relegation strugglers Charlton with an injury ravaged squad.
Everton boss David Moyes has already expressed his views about the injuries and he is hoping that all the players can pull through and grab Everton a deserved UEFA cup spot.
Everton could be without Victor Anichebe, Manuel Fernandes, Nuno Valente, Andy Johnson and Leon Osman and they are defiantly without James Vaughan and Tim Cahill.
Victor Anichebe is battling to be fit for this Sunday’s vital game whilst Manny Fernandes did take part in training and looks very likely to play a part in the game but Andy Johnson and Leon Osman both did not take part in the training day at Goodison Park on Friday but both are likely to play, with Johnson looking most likely to partner James Beattie upfront.
Although players such as Nuno Valente, James McFadden and Andy Van Der Meyde who look likely to be ready to play still lack that match practice, although Moyes will be hoping all 3 are ready to be called upon.
The Toffee’s go into this game on the back of some very good form, taking a vital point against fellow European battlers Bolton on Monday and grabbing a brilliant 4-1 win against Fulham, they will be high in confidence and will be looking to stretch this form against Charlton who are desperately fighting for their lives down in the bottom of the table.
Earlier in the season, Everton drew 1-1 against Charlton at the Valley and will be looking to better that and grab a win at Goodison Park this Sunday.
Everton are trying to keep the same team that drew with Bolton bar the obvious injury to James Vaughan who looks likely to be replaced by James Beattie.
Everton’s squad for Sunday: Howard, Wright, Hibbert, Lescott, Stubbs, Naysmith, Valente, Osman, Carsley, Arteta, Neville, de Silva, Van Der Meyde, McFadden, Fernandes, Beattie, Johnson, Anichebe.
