Pep doesn't make a lot of mistakes but selling Cole Palmer is a massive one, granted nobody could foresee the high numbers he's getting but most people knew who he was and that he was a kid with big potential. Since the end of September, Everton strikers have scored one goal (Beto). I suspect we won't see a high scoring affair from Everton tomorrow, Chelsea won't be as generous as Wolves were in defence. We need some luck, early own goal would be nice.
In his defence it's an area of the field City were especially well stocked in and being an academy product selling him was a great boost to juggling the books around spending rules. He'd have probably liked to keep him in an ideal world but even City have to work within rules....well, recently anyway.
There's nothing to say he would have been doing the same numbers in this current City side.
