Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

"And next we'll go to Everton manager Sean Dyche...."

Who has promised more of the same next week, "Jack felt a bit of a tweak in his jock strap which is why I reluctantly brought him off, but rest assured along with Abdi and Youngy, the band will be back together next week". "I thought we were a bit open at the back towards the end, but I blame Lindstrom and Patterson who I will probably slap again for venturing forward. We were holding Forest to only a two goal deficit and that could well have ruined our goal difference even further, thinking on i will probably give Lindstrom a bit of a slap as well for good measure" "My two fans on Grandoldteam have already been on the blower blaming the players and I totally agree with them and thank them for their incredible support. "

No point going into January transfer window with him still around, get in a new guy before then and buy his players instead of Dyche recommending the likes if Longstaff
Agreed..... Plucky points against Arsenal, Chelsea and City mean nothing if make Brighton, Bournemouth and Now Forest coast to 3 points at Goodison. I can't think of one team in the top 2 flights of English football or the SPL that take a goalkeeper up to the half way line to ping the ball up the field hoping for something to happen.

It's pathetic

Any chance he's sacked tonight?
None whatsoever, he is here till at least the end of the season.... TFG talk tough but they wont act.

They just need us bobbing along in the PL while they focus on Roma. When is everyone going to wake up, I want him gone much more than anyone else on this forum but it is becoming quite clear that isn`t happening.

…..I felt they were comfortable and we were 2nd best in every aspect of the game.

Perm Lindstrom and Harrison results in little difference and no McNeil nullifies any threat we have from set pieces. Mediocrity from a mediocre group of footballers.

Despite my criticism, it was good to see Patterson finally play like he had something to prove, his cameo was encouraging. Beyond that I thought the two CBs were ok, Branthwaite tried to force the game at times but without an outstanding candidate I thought Pickford was MoM, he made a few decent saves to at least keep the score down.

Why are we so bloody bad at crossing?
Osman was doing commentary on peacock and he was pointing it out, we keep crossing it so early and it doesn't suit our strikers.

Because we are literally that hopeless at progressing the ball to a meaningful position meaning we have no option but to cross it early.

We said that when we had Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Forrest and guess what?.
We didn't win any of em... played for a scoreless draw in all of them and the media lost their minds and proclaimed dyche a great manager for putting 11 men behind the ball and poxing 3 draws ... ask him to win a game and score a goal however and lol.... Sunday lge manager

Just seen the score, disappointed but unsurprised. Defeat was the guaranteed outcome after @davek, in build up discussions, asserted we wouldn't lose: that fella's the absolutely worst predictor of footie game results on this entire forum lol
