It's a small step in the right direction.

Still work to do defensively, still looks a shambles

Lot more spirit shown today & played a lot better than our last few games

Robles was ok

Rom deserved his goal, him and Besic the best players on the park

Positive stats compared to recent games

Still need new faces in ASAP

Jags had a poor game. He's still got a couple of good years in him cos he reads the play. Stones has to play week in week out now till the end of the season. An instable CB pairing always leaks goals irrespective of the form.

we've been saying that all season but he's never 100% fit.

Attacking wise I think we were far better than in recent weeks, Lukaku being a big factor in this. We created chances and forced some saves and last ditch blocks. Oviedo offered width going forward and I think he needs to play on one wing with Mirallas (who was quiet tonight) on the other. Coleman looked a bit better and Barkley made some dangerous runs and some good attempts at through balls which didn't quite come off.

Center halves were pretty bad. Stones needs to play whenever fit, he's so calm and composed which will hopefully rub off on his partner who will probably be jags. Happy with Robles, did well.

Chuffed for Lukaku to get his goal, he deserved it and should have had 2, nothing wrong with his disallowed header. Another proper crap refereeing performance tonight, it's beyond a joke. Not that it's an excuse for our poor results.

Onwards and upwards, tough game against City next but it would be typical everton to win after the last few weeks.

Another lacklustre uber trash performance. We drew against west f***ing ham at home. Poor all over the pitch. 2 defensive midfielders at home again and one of them is trash. To be fair Rom was slightly better than usual

Not for me. Collins was Distins responsibility and he let him run past him without a pull, block, or fight and left it to 2 players who didn't see him coming.

If that was Andy Carroll everyone would want to know who was marking him. Distin didn't do enough which has been the case for all the defence all season.
He ran from roughly the penalty spot to the corner of the six yard box - AWAY from the goal - to a space in which Besic, Coleman and Naismith were all within arm's length of him. Coleman inadvertently blocks Distin. The ball is delivered into a spot where Naismith and Besic can both rightly be expected to head it clear. Distin is no more at fault than any of those three, and less so IMHO.
