That's interesting, about a year ago we won two Futsal National age groups , 9s and 12 s , so I wonder if that's the same 9s progressing to 10 year old.For example I know United beat City at Under 10s and 11's level this year and Everton have just won the National futsal under 10s title.
Alan Irvine was the one who really got us into Futsal , basically 5 a side indoors and the ball is smaller and doesn't bounce as high so encourages development of controlling ball particularly with under side of the foot. Martinez was a big fan.
Re Acadamies, and bringing players through to the first team, we have started the most teenagers in the PL this season with four, but only Davies is home grown. And maybe that's the model we work with, developing our own youngsters where they are good enough, buying in promising ones from elsewhere, filling positions we are weak in.
