What a pleasure to watch a youth team playing with so much intelligence.
solid if unspectacular 1st half there. We really need to show more up top with Duffus, Dowell and Williams.
Back 4 playing well, but Hewelt worries me. Doesn't try and command his area.
Baningime solid enough, Joe Williams still doesn't look match fit imho.

Interesting half, few points I noted:
- Peaked at 5.5k viewers which is brilliant for a youth game but also symptomatic of the digital age.
- We really haven't got going.
- Clash of styles evident; aside from Dowell and at a push Walsh they have the more technical XI but we're by far better equipped for the physical side. You could say this is one reason City haven't had many graduates lately because as technically good as they are they do just look like boys.
- Dowell's quality is undoubted but I'm really miffed with his attitude this season. Should be dominating these games but I didn't realise he was playing for half an hour. Maybe he finds it too easy? If so it's counter-productive playing like this because it looks like he can't be arsed and Koeman will not like that.
- Duffus just shows why we were after Hirst from Sheff Wed; it's the area along with perhaps keeper we just don't have any stand out players (not seen enough of Sambou).
- 4 years age gap between our centre-halves but dare I say Feeney is already the better defender?
- I like the look of that Adarabioyo; seems to breeze through it and has a nice size to him.

..you can see why we are keen to sign the City CB. It's not surprising City have some quality out there and you have to think they'll get a goal. We are hanging on a bit and we'll have to ride our luck to get anything.
