Evolving squad.

There is so much talk during transfer windows of players being bought and players being sold.
We have now played four competitive games this season and I think the group of players that the manager wants to work with is beginning to become clearer now.
There certainly are still a couple of players with question marks over them but I think we will not now see much activity regarding players coming in but we may see a lot leave.

I think the goalkeepers we have are there for the season. Pickford/Virginia/Lossl.
Right back , we have Coleman and Kenny and Holgate can play there as well.
Left back , we have Digne and I think Nkonkou may have changed the managers mind about making another signing.

Centre back, We Have Keane, Minna,Holgate and Branthwaite.

Midfield, we have Allan, Doucoure, Gigurdsson, Gomes and Davies and attacking central midfield JR and Bernard.

Wide left and right, We have Richarlison,Gordon,Iwobi and JR

Strikers, we have DCL and Kean.

I think that is 20 outfield players and I would guess it is about the size of squad the manager wants.
I am not sure what will happen with Delph, he is injury prone but is a decent player and can cover a few positions.
Walcott seems to be the one that is being frozen out of the scene and could be allowed to move.
We all know that Bolasie, Besic, Sandro and Tosun can leave as well as a host of under 23 players.

I think we may bring in a centre back as cover and that may be it.

Any other signings may be like Nkonkou, cheap young players that we can develop but may take a year or two to develop.

Out of sight, out of mind.

I think he will be eased back very slowly and carefully , we probably won't see him until next year. Another half serious injury to him would be a disaster.
