And so it starts again. Less than a month from the big reveal. Plenty of new drivers. Plenty of drivers at new teams, including Sir Lewis.

Lando calling out the entire grid (my bet for the WDC):

And Haas have a pair of women in high profile important positions :)

Who do people think is gonna win it this year? Max to make it 5 in a row? Lando do go the distance this year? Lewis a sneaky outside bet? Can Ferrari win their first WCC in years after Mcl did the same last year. Is Lawson (enough of) an upgrade over Checo to get RB back in the fight?

Tough one to call given the rule changes next year. How much are teams going to put into this year versus focusing on next year?

Verstappen has to be favourite, followed by Norris, LeClerc and Lewis.

But until testing in February I wouldn’t be putting any money on anyone.

It is weird seeing Lewis in red but I’d love it if he could somehow get another WDC with them.

Really could be an open Championship this season.

There was no clear strongest car by the final third of last season, with the last eight races won by McLaren, McLaren, Ferrari, Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, Red Bull, and McLaren.

Lewis will drag every ounce of performance out of the Ferrari and Leclerc is always good for at least a few victories every year. Piastri will improve with experience, and let's see how Lawson works in the Red Bull, although it's hard to think he can put up a fight for the Championship. His goal will probably be to support Verstappen better than Checo did last year.

Norris and Verstappen will clearly be there or thereabouts, and Russell will undoubtedly win a few races for Mercedes.

Should be a very exciting year in F1 again, last year was fantastic.

Rather than going the dodgy stream route, does anyone have insight on how to get F1 live without paying SKY lots of money for a subscription please?

What do you consider dodgy about using IPTV? Nobody gets arrested for using IPTV services, only for selling them.

My dodgy connection, normally buffering whenever I attempt to watch something via another service on a stick or device.
I know my setup isn't the best, hence the Q about direct (subscription) route

Probably not what you asked for, but you could probably redo your entire system, improve speeds and signal strength, get a new device and a 24 months subscription to every channel that has ever existed for the same price as 6 months of skyTV.

It’ll be interesting hopefully. If McLaren can maintain the form they showed in the second half of last season, surely Norris is favourite. If Red Bull are still struggling, I think Verstappen will be up there, but I can’t see him been favourite. We won’t really know the true picture until testing of course but hopefully a close season again. Would love Hamilton to mount a challenge.

Fancy a trip to London??

Fancy a trip to London??

Not crunched the numbers, but I used to spend just shy of £94pm for sky, and £30pm for Virgin broadband.

Broadband was crap coverage, so built a meshnet system with Asus routers, at about £100 per modem. Every room has full bars on WiFi and full expected speed, running over a 5g backhaul. Then I got a 4k Max firestick for ~£70 and paid £59 for 12 months IPTV access to Netflix, Apple, Disney and every other channel you can think of, at mostly 4k quality, certainly full HD. I even phoned Virgin and they gave me an upgrade on vlbroadband speed (200mps) for only £25pm, and a streaming box with standard channels for the other room at £5pm. Nord VPN adds a cost, but not critical.

So, binning off sky saved me just less than £600 in the first 6 months, which I think has covered all of my outgoings. I've not had it for 18 months now, so.....

Worked really well, so I did my Dads aswell.

I've also not missed an Everton away game on TV since I did it. ( I go the home games)
