The Unobstructed View
Non-league minnows Hythe Town will travel to Hereford United in the FA Cup first round while three-time winners Sheffield Wednesday head to Southport.

Hythe became the first Kent League team in 53 years to reach the first round proper by beating Staines on Saturday and their reward is a trip to Hereford, who currently prop up the Football League.

League One side Wednesday, meanwhile, have an away tie at Southport, while 1976 winners Southampton are at home to Shrewsbury Town.

The division's leaders Brighton & Hove Albion are at home to Woking, Charlton Athletic go to Barnet and Huddersfield Town are away at Cambridge United.

League Two table-toppers Chesterfield also face non-league opposition in the guise of Harrow Borough, while Port Vale will be away to either Leiston or Dartford.

Darlington were relegated from League Two last season and have a home tie with Bristol Rovers, while the other club to drop out of the Football League - Grimsby Town - must beat Tamworth in a replay to secure a home date with Crewe Alexandra.

There are six ties only involving non-league clubs, including Havant & Waterlooville against Droylsden, AFC Wimbledon at home to Ebbsfleet and Guiseley at home to Crawley Town.
