I never suggested it would be easy. I’m not convinced there enough effort going into getting rid, if any.
The agent will be trying to find an amicable arrangement but, a lot will depend upon the player.
It might not be very palatable to us but, he’s perfectly entitled to see out the remaining time on his contract and look to pick up a job as a free agent.

That unfortunately is the nature of the beast… had he not had recurring injury problems and played well when selected, we might have entirely different opinions on him… there again, probably not.

I don't think a £8.5m rising to £10m transfer fee and £80k a week in wages for a 30 year old injury prone player (even before he joined us) was a good idea mate.
As it turned out it certainly wasn't .
But, if he wasn't constantly injured and was available as cover for full back and central midfield over the three years of his contract it would have been.

There was never going to be resale value but with a player who can play in two or three positions you are deepening the squad for relatively small investment..... of course you need the player to be fit to play.

As it happens I do think he will leave, he will get a package from us to leave and he then will move on.

I‘m not disagreeing with you. I know the club is up against it, but it’s completely the club’s own making. It’s not like it wasn’t known that Delph was an injury prone & just not that good.

If Delph wants to continue his career beyond next season, you would think that he'd have to go out on loan and try and prove himself elsewhere, because I can't see there being too many takers this time next season if he spends yet another season being injury prone or idle on the bench, even on a free transfer.

I think he may get a loan somewhere, but the club he moves to will only offer to pay a small percentage of his wages, as they know we are desperate to get rid.

This will be decided on the final day of the window, when we find out who is the more desperate... Everton that desperately want to get rid, or another club that is so desperate that they are willing to have Delph.

Or he might just sit in the physio room for the rest of his contract and then retire from competitive football, and join Sky's esteem panel of PL analysts.

I’m sure there is plenty of effort.

Are you? Not seeing much evidence. No result.

No club will pay a fee for this waster. Or pay anything near what he’s getting here.
The club could have forced the issue. No squad number, train alone etc. A big ego like his wouldn’t like that & would hopefully give his agent a kick.
He need to be gone, along with the chump who signed him.

I think this is where his ego may play a part.
He can stay at Everton and be ignored like Besic was last season and that really is the end of his career at the top level.

He will get a settlement from Everton and can then find a new club and can continue his career for a couple of more seasons.

I never have a problem with players who give there all, cause no trouble and do their best.
Bernard for example, was paid far too much money but he did his best and had a few decent games but he just wasn’t physically cut out for the premier league.
Delph though is just a massive bell end. I’ve not seen him have a single good game for us and he chats bollocks on social media and makes the club look like idiots for bringing him in.

And there you have it.
You have your own answer.

The club could be moving mountains, but if there are no takers, there is nothing they can do. He has a contract and is under no obligation to leave.

I’m pretty certain they are looking for an option to end things. It won’t be a sale, but it may be a loan with us contributing to his wages, that way there won’t be a book loss.

Delph on his day is a good player.

Some people in this country will have it in for him due to the colour of his skin.

It's sad to see.

Yes, I know we bought a pup that no other club would touch, already said that.

The club could be doing more to force the issue. No squad number, tell him to train alone. Come to a severance deal.
