Lerner did a good job first few years. Good appointment in O'Neill, they were up in the top 6, cup runs, spent money and made some money back in sales (Milner, Barry). He then had to scale back his investment after the credit crunch, O'Neill left and then they made poor appointments to replace him and tried to cut his losses.
