It feels like we are not too far away from this happening, now.

He literally only has himself to blame for this mess. He has done nothing that an astute businessman would do.

He’s left a failed regime at boardroom level to deal with day to day operations, hes appointed positions in house instead of trying to approach expertise in certain fields, he’s oversaw a catastrophic overspend, he’s meddled in appointments and transfers and not once as he set a vision for the club. He also, clearly, has not implemented any form of structure because the whole club is a mess.

He had visions of Hollywood, instead we’re a wannabe actor living on skid row and struggling.

I’ve been saying since he bought the fat Spanish waiter to the club and not been showing up for games he was probably going to sell up. Just hope it’s not paper talk and hope it happens but to the right people rather than people who will buy and not spend

TBF that probably says more about the genuineness of the “interested bidders” than anything else.

Not necessarily. Newcastle were an attractive proposition for a sale because Ashley ran the club at a profit every year. Especially the extra legroom that gives you with FFP. If they go down this season (like last time) they're still financially stable as long as they come back up. If we go down we'd be screwed.

We are building a new ground though, we’ve just gone through a pandemic, we’ve reported losses a lot and we’ve got a number of expensive transfer and highly paid players not playing and unlikely to ever make money on.

These are all known facts that any serious bidder would have taken into account beforehand. To be surprised by what is in the books is more indicative that someone never had the support to take over a PL club in the first place.

Sorry I need to add:

BUT HE’S TRYING

:hayee:

Complete failure and took us backwards and made us a laughing stock. Would be made up if he sold up and did one. It would be hard to imagine any new owner running the business as bad as this man has done. It is like he is playing a game of football manager. Absolute embarrassment.

Which has got to be financed.

The club will be in a much better position for a sale once it's built and then he'll get his money back. It's probably the worst time now when a few hundred mill needs to be found for a stadium and the first team is a complete mess while the club has run up huge annual losses. Why would anyone take that on?

Moshiri isn’t funding the stadium.
